In this article, we'll give you a sneak peek at how to use this exciting new paint line, starting with a simple tutorial on applying it to a piece of wood trim. Let's dive in and get painting!

  • Flood By Penetrol - Oil Based Additive (Optional) 
  • 220 grit sandpaper

 

Step 1: Prep Primer

Pour LuxeLacquer Primer into a plastic container and add a small splash of Flood. This optional step helps the paint brush on easier and flow better. For reference, If you were using the 32oz Primer or paint, you would add in about 4oz of Flood. 

Step 2: Prime Surface

Apply one coat of primer using a brush. Allow it to dry overnight. 

Step 3: Sand Surface

After priming, lightly sand the surface with 220 grit sandpaper for a smooth finish.

Step 4: First Coat of LuxeLacquer

Using a synthetic brush, apply the first coat of LuxeLacquer. Brush with the grain and let it dry overnight.

Step 5: Sand Between Coats

Lightly sand the surface between coats with 220 grit sandpaper.

Step 6: Apply Second Coat of LuxeLacquer

Apply the second coat of LuxeLacquer for a flawless finish.
