Start by mixing a 1:1 ratio of Acrylic Glacier Resin and Hardener. Add about 5% white pigment to the mixture and allow it to set for 24 hours. This creates a pristine white canvas as your base.
Using an artist brush, apply alcohol to a section of your canvas.
Drip a few drops of alcohol ink onto the alcohol-saturated surface. Tilt the canvas to allow the ink to spread, creating a sheer layer.
Add a drop of resin pigment on top of the alcohol ink. Use a tongue depressor to spread the color, experimenting with different layering techniques and color combinations.
Create a dotted line of pigments, then apply a small amount of resin on top using a tongue depressor. Spread the colors around, layering them in different shapes and patterns.
Apply metallic mica powders on top to add shimmer, experimenting with different patterns.
Mix a small amount of mica powder into your Acrylic Glacier Resin and layer it on top of your canvas. Continue layering pigments, inks, and mica powders, blending the colors together.
Using an artist brush, apply small pieces of gold, copper, or silver leaf. This adds texture and a luxurious touch. Once dry, apply gold leaf around the edges for a high-end finish. Allow the piece to sit for another 24 hours before displaying.
