Today I'm going to show you something I've never shown before! How to create a travertine stone finish with my One Step Paint.

This finish would be fabulous on countertops, the top of a dresser or other piece of furniture, a tabletop, and more. Post your finishes in our Before & After Facebook Group!

Shopping List:
Glazed Over
One Step Paint in Bauhaus Buff and Serengeti Gray
Chip Brushes, Foam Roller, and a Sponge Brush
Follow These Steps...
Step 1: Your Base Coat
Use your foam roller to apply Bauhaus Buff to your piece. You want to do two nice coats and allow it to dry one hour.
Step 2: Flood Your Surface
Use water and a sponge brush to flood your surface.
Step 3: Mix Up & Apply Your Glaze
Mix one part Glazed Over, one part water, and one part Serengeti Gray. It will be a thin consistency. Be sure your surface is wet and take your chip brush into your glaze. Use a flat motion and glide your brush along your surface.
After you have covered a good amount of the area you are working on, take a second chip brush and knock them together to create splatters. This adds to the stone-like effect.
Take a dry chip brush and pull it along your surface.
Step 4: Create A New Tool
Take some plain newsprint paper and create an accordion shape.
Lay down your paper in a horizontal fashion. Press it down and lift it up, you can only use your paper a few times so it doesn't become a positive tool.
Step 5: Add more water
Take your chip brush and dip it in water. Create droplets across your surface with the brush by hitting it against another brush.
Step 6: Finish It Off
Finish off your board with Bright Idea Lacquer for a high gloss finish.
Enjoy The Bragging Rights!!
