Now is the perfect time to take on an easy DIY project that adds a pop of fun and color to your kitchen!
In today's tutorial, learn how to create your very own eco-friendly and stylish dipped utensils in just a few steps.
Step 1: Begin by wiping the hand of your silverware using a lint-free rag and Clean Slate.
Step 2: Once dry, choose a One-Step Paint color for each utensil.
Step 3: Next, dip just the handle into your One-Step Paint and pull it out allowing excess to drip back into the can.
Color used: Orchid
Step 4: Then use your Wedge Specialty Brush to wipe off the rest of excess paint on all sides.
Be careful not to change the shape of the paint line and always going with the grain of the wood.
Step 5: Use a small cup to prop the utensil up while drying.
It may help to also fill the cup with salt, sugar, or something similar to help keep the utensil from moving.
Step 6: Continue steps 1-5 for each utensil.
Color used: Barefoot In The Park
Color used: Massey Hill
DON'T FORGET: Allow your new custom utensils to cure for several days before using and try to hand wash only to ensure the longevity of your color.
